United Airlines Maintenance Facility mural This 4' X 16' mural was developed for the lobby of the United Airlines maintenance facility at San Francisco Airport. This state of the art facility is responsible for maintaining the high quality of United's extensive fleet of aircraft. From completely disassembling engines, carefully inspecting the smallest of components, checking metal fatigue to washing the hull, the maintenance facility insures the safety of their aircraft on an ongoing basis. Working with United Airlines management we gathered the information needed to communicate the complex functions of this group. With the cooperation of their photographic department we were able to select a complete series of quality images reflecting the scope of this work. The mural was then developed by blending this wide variety of images with historic pictures from their archives to visually illustrate their story. |
